Suffer from Eczema? My story, and Atopiclair Product Giveaway!

June 07, 2015

Assalamualaikum and Hi!

Atopic Dermatitic or also known as Eczema, is a chronic inflammatory skin condition that causes the skin becoming extremely itchy, inflamed, dry, scaly, and even worse purulent causes by infection on the particular area. Eczema is caused by interplay between genetic and environmental triggers. Eczema usually affected on people who either suffer from asthma and/or hay fever (allergic rhinitis) or have family member who do.

Millions of people around the world suffer from Eczema, including myself. I've been suffering from this skin condition problem since I was 6 years old (i am currently 23), and it still didn't cure completely. I still remember when I was little, there was a time when I can't go to school for a few months because my skin condition is getting worse especially at the soles of my feet and it caused me unable to walk properly because it was so painful and extremely itchy. Yes in my case, this Eczema only appear at the soles of my feet, and my fingers (around the nails area).

I'm glad the condition now are way better and not as worse like it used to be when I was a child. But in order to maintain that, I have to be extra careful on my surrounding and cleanliness. I can't walk here and there with my bare feet because my skin is extremely sensitive and tend to be dry quickly than other people. When it's dry, the skin will get cut easily (and bleed) and will take quite some time to be heal properly. Same goes to my fingers. So my dear college-mates out there, by any chance if you're reading my post here, that explain why sometimes you guys saw my fingers are full with handyplast. So tired being me, right? Haha.

So to parents out there, I understand if your own children are suffering from Eczema, it is a nightmare! Managing or dealing with Eczema was never easy. Although my condition here is not that worse compare to other people or children who suffering severe Eczema skin condition (I understand that there are also people who suffering the same condition on their whole body including face!), and there is no known cure for this kind of problem, but still, parents can always help to minimize the stress of Eczema.

How I usually dealing with Eczema? Surrounding, cleanliness, and other few items. Remember when I said that my skin is extremely sensitive, and easily get cut and bleed? Well, I have to be extra careful and make sure everything that I touch will not cause any injury to my skin, and make sure everything is clean before it contacted with my hand especially. No bacteria please! Moisturizer! Do not forget a moisturizer. It helps the skin moist and plays a vital role in reducing Eczema.
