Playing with Makeup #1

June 22, 2015

Assalamualaikum and Hi!

I got my time to play around with my eyeshadows today. Finally, it has been a really long time since I played with my makeup. I really miss creating a different kinds of looks, a dramatic eye makeup and share it with you girls. So today I decided to post about this eye makeup that I did today, nothing too dramatic tho. Just a very simple maroon, brown, and burgundy eyeshadow with a brown-red eyebrow haha! I just did this makeup on one eye so I apologize for not taking a proper pictures of the whole finishing look. But I am going to list out all the products that I used for this eye makeup for you, yah! Btw, just in case you're wondering why would I add the red eyeshadow on my eyebrow? Well, no particular reason actually. I just thought it would be fun to do so since I want to see how people react on red eyebrow haha! I can still go out with my brows looking like that hokeyyy~

So for the brow, I just used a dark red (almost like a red-ish maroon) and applied the colour at the beginning of my brow and bring it towards the center of the brow. Then I applied some brown eyeshadow to blend the red colour, and a brown eyebrow pencil to draw the tail.

As for the eyeshadow, I literally used 3 eyeshadow palettes to achieve that look. First I used 'After Hours' from Too Faced Natural at Night eyeshadow palette, and applied it on my eyelid only using a finger.

With the same palette (Too Faced Natural at Night eyeshadow palette), I applied the 'Full Moon' colour on my crease and blend it using a fluffy brush. To make it a bit darker, I applied just a touch of black eyeshadow on the same place and blend it again with a fluffy brush to make it look smoother. Oh btw, you can actually use any black eyeshadow that you have and make it more darker if you want to achieve a dark smokey look. But since I want to make it simple and wearable, I only add a touch of it. And the black eyeshadow that I used here is 'Crave' by UD Naked Basic eyeshadow palette.

On the upper crease, I applied the dark burgundy colour and blend it all together with the other colours that I create before. Here, I just add and touch up the colours until I achieve the colour depth that I want. Also, I applied all the same colours on to my lower lashline.

This is optional, but here I add a lil bit of gold eyeshadow on the inner corner of my eyes in order to make my eyes look brighter. I used Hypercosmos Trio by Maybelline (read the review).

Finish with the eyeshadow, then I just put on black eyeliner, white eyeliner on the waterline, mascara and fake lashes, and taraaa. Done! Like I said, it is simple and wearable. But you can always skip the red brows if you want and draw your usual eyebrow colours. I'm just having fun here. Tehee!

That's all for today's post. Next time I will do other makeup look and share it with you girls. And hopefully I will do a more dramatic and colourful eye makeup look instead in the future. Have a nice day!
